Totally satisfied and amazed.
This App is awesome. Of course there is always room for improvement. But so far, I've been able to control my NEST thermostat from anywhere. Also saw a previous review wanting to be able to turn the fan from auto to on. This app has it, in quick view ( I think that's what it's called). Turn iPhone on its side and click settings on your thermostat view. You'll find it eventually. I just used it myself a few minutes ago. The App does need a less complicated layout, but once I got used to it, I'm finding everything just fine. And so far no connection problems or logging in issues. Using iPhone 4s with latest ioS.

Great App, awesome system
The Nest system is itself amazing. I'm two weeks in and am already aware of how much energy I've wasted in the past. And, I had a programmed thermostat prior to the Nest! The process of 'learning' your heat use in the first week resulted in a more sophisticated schedule than anything I could have programmed in our previous thermostat. Furthermore, the Nest provides you with feedback that may be used to exercise further savings for people who wish to be more active in their conservation. What is brilliant is that regardless of whether you are an active or passive consumer of energy, the Nest will help you save on your use. The app is another layer of brilliance. I am the first one up in our household and as a result I have historically had to program the heat to come on before I would get up, or turn up the heat and wait 15-20 minutes for the house to get more comfortable. With the Nest app I can turn on the thermostat from the comfort of being still under my covers. I can control the temperature in my house from anywhere. With children that are regular activities at school it means I can turn down the temperature while away and turn it back up before leaving the school so we return to a nice warm house. And, if we forget to turn down the temperature before we go, we can turn it down using the app. All of this could not have been done with the programmable thermostat we had previously. To this point I have had no problems with connectivity. I highly recommend both the Nest and its app.

Great integration for an app
I love all the control options on this app. The only downside is the disconnects. Mine isn't as bad as some, but I still get disconnects several times a day. Please fix this.

Love it!
I love the wireless feature of setting the temperature comfortably upon my arrival to my home and when I'm away from my home. The nest has the capability of learning the temp environment when your present, sleep and when your away. I can control the temp from my phone! This saves you $. Although, I am not sure how to work the feature of this product for the fan, I'm sure there is an update in the making. Helps air out the home:)))

Great! But....
This is really a superb product at has been well overdue to market. We were one of the early buyers and had no regrets until we upgraded and started using the current version of the app. With this version we deal with daily network disconnects that include erroneous error messages saying something about the battery being low and this is due to faulty wiring in my house running to the thermostat. Not the case so save yourself the service call. I still encourage you to get a Nest. Just wait till a new version of the app is available.

Excellent product, horrible app
I love the Nest thermostat itself but the iPhone/iPad app is horrible because it's constantly losing connection and signing me out of my account. Part of the reason I purchased a Nest was to control my home's heating while away and this app makes that nearly impossible.
