finally the apple design ethos is transferred to other interfaces ...hopefully nest will grow to other products such as home security, lighting control etc...

Feature Req for App
Amazing device, install was incredibly simple, a call to tech support was actually helpful on a Saturday! Really, really wish the house's current temp was on the home screen of the app. Perhaps next to the outside temp on the top bar? Home/Away should be toggled by tapping the house. GPS based auto Home/Away would be fantastic. SMS and email based alerts when motion detected would be an excellent value add for the security minded. Full control in Portrait mode should be possible. Again, wonderful device!

I had another smart thermostat with app that sucked. This one is awesome. Simple and fast. The app is made so that anyone can use it with out wondering what the heck to do. I only wish it were iPhone 5 ready. But I am sure in time it will be updated.

Please read! A good tip
Suggestion nest programmers... Can you push a notification circle, like email or messages(the red circle with numbers). Can you use that system and color red when heat us on, blue when cool is of, or grey when it's off. That would be great to see if the central system is running. You could also put the temp on the house in the bubble. Good idea right???

It's truly amazing. It just needs a feature called "random fan" that makes the fan run for five minutes for every hour or so to keep the air circulating. The main thing it needs is Siri support.
