Great appliance, maturing
I've watched the development of the Nest since its inception and waited to the second generation to purchase one. I'm pleased with the device and like the remote access via iPhone and iPad. Much easier to program on the iOS devices than he device itself. I'd really like to see the actual measured temperature plotted over time in the energy usage area, and the ability to add additional Nest units acting as sensors for temperature and humidity. Great device, worth the money so far.

Unit disconnects often
On the surface it's a good product, but has major flaws. The battery dies without any notice and then the unit is completely useless. As others mentioned, support blames users even though it started happening after one if their updates. It's all fun and games until pipes freeze in the basement because the unit will just turn off. Horrible oversight.

Very nice tool
I like being able to adjust home temp while on my way home, but save money during the day while I am at work.

Love Nest, Hate Update
Why take away the arrow to adjust temperature. It's now so frustrating to try to turn the virtual dial to an exact temperature. Before this update, I would have given the app 4 or 5 stars.

Needs UI improvement and doesn't connect all the time
The app frequently can't connect to the nest. This is very frustrating. Also, requiring portrait mode to access certain settings doesn't seem necessary. Sensitivity on changing temperatures on the dial is bad. Seems like arrows would work better,
