On one, only one of my two thermostats I now can't switch between heating and cooling. I still can on my first floor unit but only have an on/off option on my second floor. Couple that with connectivity issues and lack of support for geothermal HVAC despite repeated requests and I'm now dropping nest to 2 stars.

Needs fan only control on app
The app and the nest itself needs a fan control only toggle on the main screen. You have to go into settings to turn it on but that only works for timer or schedule which is rarely helpful.

Connection Issues
This used to be my favorite app! A true 10 out of 10! Now, since the last update there are connection issues at least 25% of the time. It pains me that l no longer recommend this product to friends and coworkers.

Terrible update
Thermostat does not show blue when cooling anymore. Stays orange so looks like its heating..,,

The new update is bad.
Why did you remove the on/off for heat and a/c. I want the ability to set heat and a/c from my iPhone. Please bring it back !

New Update No Good!
Since the new update the thermostats keep going offline. Only way to get it back online is to physically go to the thermostat and wave your hand in front of it or touch it. Another issue that I never had before the update is that the battery keeps going low and then the nest really can't connect at all to the WiFi. I don't understand how the battery can get low if each thermostat has a dedicated power cable. I have two thermostats and loved them until the new update. Now is a pain every time I want to change the temperature remotely. NEST, Please fix this soon!
