App fails with latest version
For me, everything stopped working with the latest version. Nest says it's due to Apple upgrading Airport software, but I haven't upgraded mine. iPhone and iPad will no longer connect to the thermostat.

So far so good
Very easy to use. My only complaint is I wasted my time taking their survey. It would not let me enter the company who did the install so I could not save it. I want my 5 minutes back!

So much unfulfilled potential
I love the concept of this hardware/software combination. But execution is lacking. On the iPad, huge swaths of screen real estate are wasted... squeezing a slightly challenging-to-use interface into the bottom third. Using more of the screen would make the finicky interface easier to navigate. Also... I want easy to apply pre-sets. Like: "Monday Holiday" or "Working Graveyard Shift" which can easily be applied to a day and be scheduled for a period of time such as "Once" or "2 weeks" I'd like to hope the developers can think out of the box a bit more and give us a truly powerful tool.

Love the Nest
I got the Nest for Xmas. 1st gen. Did some research about my Trane a.c./gas furnace and read the common control wire was necessary to keep the battery on the Nest charged. I don't know if thats true for my unit but I connected the common wire, installed the Nest and have been completely satisfied. The only trouble I've had was with my local wireless Internet provider. It goes down at times. When it comes back up I've had to reestablish the connection. I blame my I.P. provider. Only change to the app so far would be to put all the "at a glance" info and the fan control on the home page. I have a wood stove so I use the fan switch at times. I will give the Nest 5 stars to counteract all the negative comments I've heard. Most of them sound like router or user error problems. I've been using it with 2 iPhones, 2 iPads and an iMac. All work flawlessly. Get the Nest. Update: Please stop misleading people with the reviews about the update and the missing arrows. You do NOT have to drag the dial as everybody is saying. If you want the temp colder, just tap anywhere below the current temp. If you want it higher, just tap anywhere above the current temp. You can change the temp in one degree increments just the same as before. Don't post negative reviews if you don't understand how to use it.

Can't control my "away" temperature anymore, which is a bummer because....well....I'm away. I guess I can just keep lowering it, or change my entire schedule, but it would be so much easier to just make my away temperature lower.

Works Out of the Box
Worked great with me. I'm not sure what weird routers people are using that are causing connection failures. Great product. If you need to change your temp, why use your iPhone? Use the website if you want more ease of use.
