Awful app
I have had ongoing issues with downloading the new issues of the journal for the last few months. The only solution given was to the delete and download the app again which meant loosing all the previous downloaded issues. Terrible service and total waste of money for this additional feature

They should work harder on Flash player support
I use this app mostly on my iPad. You can now rotate between portrait and landscape without the text and images disappearing, so that's an improvement. This app still cannot handle interactive medical cases, because they require flash player support. You have to head back to fully supported browser such as Internet Explorer or Safari. The case does not even show up in the table of contents on the iPad so you could miss the educational opportunity, unless you check the paper version or go directly to the website. They say they're working hard on alternatives, but they've said that for years. I think that they should work a little harder or get more skilled programmers.

No download
I have been unable to download the journal since 1 January 2015 despite a current subscription. The only thing that has changed in that time is the app. While the previous version was 'buggy' the new one doesn't seem to work at all. Time to cancel subscription and get money back!

Downloads hang up
Once in the previous version of the app, which usually works well, I was unable to download a particular issue of the magazine. However with the current version I have not been a able to download any of the more recent issues (I get a "waiting" message). And yes, my subscription is current. Prior to this I had thought this was the best medical journal app available.

It's really bad if I'm writing this...
I hardly ever take time from a busy schedule to write a review but I am now. Wow, I really can't believe how bad this app is, it started out great but for over a year now 2013 or 2012 to present it more than stinks. It doesn't work! Great journal but don't bother with the app as it appears that no one is out there paying attention.

Agree, it's not working
Used to be a valuable app, now only small parts of it work. Too bad--not good for such a journal.

Ok but could use some work
2 thoughts. 1. Night reader mode - most reading apps have this feature, so why not NEJM. 2. Remember the article I was reading when reopening the app. It doesnt make sense that I have to navigate back to the same article upon opening the app again.

Bad news. If you delete and reinstall the App-even from the cloud- you will destroy your library. You will have to go back and re-download and re-install each issue to restore your library with back issues. I stopped after a year. I had to work on my OTHER App. Maybe tomorrow I'll finish. A million dollar classy publication with a dumpy 10 cent App. Go figure. Go back to paper? W.A.V.
