Hope more journals follow the lead
I can't say enough about this app. I am sure I will find a few glitches along the way, but thus far it has completely satisfied. I particularly love the incorporation of the previously separate "online" content with the "print" article. Often I would come across something in the print version that I meant to look up the online supplemental material when I had access to the computer - but rarely did as it was out of sight, out of mind. Now I just click and it is there. Keep up the cutting edge customer access. I hope more of the journals I read follow your lead.

Excellent app
Haven't had any trouble with flash on illustrations yet. Excellent app, glad to see NEJM remaining current with technology. O

Worth the Wait!
I have wondered for almost a year why NEJM wasn't available on the iPad so why I received the email that an iPad edition was imminent I was really excited. This app blew my expectations out of the water! Truly a great app. They took their time and produced a beautiful app. Articles are easily accessed from a slide out menu. All pictures and figures can be tapped to enlarged and even further magnified with normal iPad gestures. I compared it to the print issue and found an image that was 1.5x1.5 in. but the iPad edition provides a full screen image. Thank you NEJM.

Awsome
Great application but needs some improvement. Video file is not compatible with any type video format for ipad ( requires adobe acrobat flash player) Bookmark needs to be in the article. Highlight function and document shares are not in the there either. Overall, it is a great app.

Lock Rotation
Excellent app; allows offline reading without having to manually download individual PDF files. The orientation, however must not be changed while reading or the app takes you back to the beginning of the article. Also the bookmark feature marks the article and not your place within the article. Videos do not play as they require Adobe flash (HTML 5 may have been better) perhaps a link to the web video could be a temporary fix for individuals reading online. Definitely a great first step.

Very good, one major problem so far
As others have described, the Journal transforms well into an iPad app and will presumably do better in subsequent updates. One unforgivable error is that several of the illustrations won't open because they require Adobe Flash Player to be installed. Why would an app specifically designed for the iPad require Flash Player when all know this is not a feature available on the iPad?
