Great App
This app needs!!!!!!!!! a way to backup and restore from a computer hard drive. I tried restoring a backup I emailed and it said complete but did not restore so I lost everything.

Works great! But...be aware!
It is slow, I think. Using wireless N wifi, it takes a little too long to download the little bit of info it does. Also after purchasing the app, it is EXTRA $.99 to use the barcode scanner- even after I had purchased the Redlaser app separately a few months back. Other than those complaints, it does seem to do what it advertised. However, BE AWARE

It's a nice little app but I would like to be able to scan the barcode and it add to the app automatically.

My review on this item that its great. Puts all movies in abc order also lets me put where purchase. My favorite thing is the scanner(.99 to use)WTF. You pay alot money for the app scanner should be include. Just little to money hungry. The app sometime crash, so update is needed. Overall app is great special that you can put it on ipad to.

What a great idea for an app! How many times have you been in a store, and can't remember if you HAVE that particular movie ?! The ability to have that info at your fingertips would be cool. This app has the POTENTIAL to be outstanding. I love the scanning ability (for an additional 99c, what the heck...) Be forewarned however... you've gotta hold that camera VERY steady, and be patient... but it did work most of the time. For movies where the UPC was particularly small, it was easy enough to type in name of the movie and get the same info. I have input about 80 movies so far and have found the following: Not all movies will be found on their database. Out of my 80, I only had 4 that didn't input well. Case in point: Superman, The Movie. As soon as I select it, the app crashes. The Dirty Dozen was problematic as well. These are pretty big movies, so I was surprised by the problem. (Not like I was looking for a foreign film from the 60's...) The fact that you can email yourself a copy of your database as a .csv file is pretty cool too. That would make it easy to import into a database program like Filemaker if you were so inclined. (I'm not). Would be nice if you could select a "default" setting while entering data. For example, "own or want". Would also be cool if the "genre" was automatically entered when you enter a movie. Perhaps a future version? For now, I don't bother with imdb, just typed in a few of my own. (comedy, action, drama, bond, etc.) Panorama view of blueray cases is cool, but acts a little "choppy" on my iPhone. (Not a 3GS phone, but only 1 1/2 yrs old). Sometimes the app will crash when I'm in this mode. My 3-star rating seems overly generous given the problems that I've outlined above. However, like any app... I'm hopeful that we'll all see improvements in the near future. With a little fine tuning, it could end up being a 5-star app in no time!
