Disappointing! Haven't even read a page because instead of being able to download the full magazine and read, it downloads page by page! Haven't got past the first 8 pages of ads in the download yet! Glad I only got one edition & not the whole subscription. Oxygen Mag much better!

Good stuff even for a regular over 40 woman looking to be healthy and strong
The magazine has good info about supplements, routines and nutrition. I have an ipad2 and have no problem loading the mag. The mag is geared a bit toward competition women (not my focus), but, I'd rather that than have to sift through beauty articles or how to keep my man stuff of some other woman's health and exercise mags.

Great magazine, poor execution on IOS
The magazine itself is full of great articles and useable tips. As the printed magazine is, it's maybe a bit heavy on ads (close to 50% of the total content)... But again, the content itself make up for that. As for the IPad version, well it's simply badly executed. Downloading the issues takes FOREVER... Makes you feel as you traveled back in time to the early dialup era. Not only is it slow, but it gets interrupted or the app crashes in the mix. On to the reading experience, the pages are rather of average to low quality. Despite the low resolution, there are no bells or whistles to take advantage of the iPad capabilities. It's pretty much your basic PDF. Now what is the most annoying is that it crashes every few pages... When reloading the app, it doesn't even get back to the last viewed page. You start over at the cover. Even navigating directly thru the page can cause another crash. The last issue (March, April is especially impossible to read). We haven't been able to get thru the issue yet. These poor behaviors are not related to one particular iPad, we have it loaded on 2 Gen 1 iPads and the same issues are present. The is absolutely no reason this publication should need the greater performance of an iPad 2 - as I said, it's your basic PDF. I'm not sure what is to be attributed to Newsstand or to the way M&F builds their content, but it all makes what should be a pleasant experience, a pretty frustrating one.
