What's the point?
To stream from the iTunes library to your iPhone / iPad -- music, video and photos -- just set-up iTunes sharing. Or, use AirVideo (not DLNA, but excellent and converts avi dv videos and other formats). I can't play my iTunes music using this app as I guess my purchased music is DRM protected (what a pita DRM is...). So, I can use iTunes sharing instead or sync more music to my iPad. This might be useful as a DLNA server so a DLNA TV could play videos and other media from an iOS device. But, videos don't seem to be accessible to DLNA clients at least in the free version. The description says videos require a cable hook-up (I guess the HDMI adapter). Why do I need this app to do that? So... I just don't get the purpose of this app. Oh, and the 5 star ratings... these are annoying aren't they?

Cool, but needs help
Wish that you didn't have a movie quit in flex player every 10-15min and go back to player screen when trying to watch something downloaded to the persona library. (have this problem with avi movies. Mp4 movies work, but switching to flex player for the avi video is still buggy) Also wish you could load to the app through ITunes (like you can with flex player) The fast-forward/ rewind scroll bar is very frustrating too when trying to locate a specific part of a video.

Great program for the already set up DLNA equipped. I would, however, like to see an easier media read capability.

Good once you get past the nag screen
It's a great app. I really wish that the nag screen to purchase the full version was more subtle. However, this app proves to be a great buy. I use this to stream my movies to my iPad. However, my home movies of my kids as infants won't play on it. Maybe I saved it with an unsupported codec? Anyway, this is a great app and worth the $7.99.
