Broke their own program to re-sell upgrade
Purchased this item months ago and it worked great…Today I tried to use it to on my iPhone and it now tries to to make me purchase the same functionality I already paid for the first time by purchasing an upgrade to do the same things the app did originally before the update broke the app ….essentially they've broken their own program to try to make you purchase it again…dumb not only will I not repurchase an up grade, but I'm going to ask apple to refund my original purchase.

WARNING!!! Pure bait and switch
This app, first time ran, played a movie at the bottom of the folder no problem. Then, after exiting and relaunching, it tells me I can only play the first 3 videos in a folder. Not only that but it also won't play those first 3 unless I get their companion app for 7.99. All of the videos in my folder are the same file type so obviously they are artificially gating their app to try and get you to spend $16. DO NOT USE!!

Does not work
Don't waste your time. To actually share out a video you first have to download the video from a dlna server on your network. Could not get any video over 10MB to download into the connect content folder. It does not have access to videos or music that is already on your iOS device.

Bait n switch
Have just removed from my ipad. Sees my dlna server, then when I play an avi file it insists I download flex player that costs $7.99 to play the formats. Don't waste your time on this app.

Worked great before the broke flexplayer
They fooled me with the bait and switch updates to flexplayer. This version works as a basic media player. Meanwhile, with flexplayer broken this is useless to me - sorry I paid for it. Better choice is airplayer.

Scum. Avoid Persona like the plague.
I paid Persona Software for the full version of Media:Connect a couple of months ago. The agreement at the time was that video was handled by Flex:Player, which was a free add-on. After a complete fiasco with Flex:Player being broken for 2 months, Persona has reneged on their agreement by charging for a "fixed" version of Flex:Player. The true price of streaming video has now doubled from the old agreed cost. Avoid these backstabbers at all cost. It's a pity, because their software has performed best of everything I've tried so far on a iPad 2. mkv video streamed directly from a DLNA server with no transcoding works smoothly, which isn't the case with other apps. That said, Media:Connect still has some bugs related to streaming FLAC audio where it ultimately stops playing and crashes.
