Great swiss-knife mapping app
I've been using Maps+ over the holidays for a photo trip in spain that included a lot of driving, navigation and trekking and GPS tracking. Maps+ handled everything that I needed brilliantly, including planning points of interests on my iPad and then exporting those to my iPhone, getting there with the topo and street maps, and recording tracks for later GPX export for geo-tagging purposes. Once you learn your way around the software, it really is the swiss army knife of [Google] mapping. I'm not sure what the other negative reviewers were looking for, because this has a lot of functionality which simply isn't possible with the stock Maps app. If you want to put pins on a map that stay there, bookmark routes and alternatives, record GPX tracks and import and export all of these, this app works like a charm. For me, this is an all-in-one mapping app that replaces 3 separate ones in a more elegant package.

I don't understand the negative reviews?
This program loads faster and has more useful features than the standard Map program. The ability to add waypoints and same routes is great! I haven't unlocked the program yet, but haven't needed too either. Am I missing something?

Don't Bother
Disappointing application. Interface looked promising, but has little to offer compared to many other map applications. Regular "you have reached a limitation" nag screens attempting to coerce you into purchasing the "unlocked" version are extremely annoying, despite initial promises that this is not necessary for most users.

Very disappointing
The MAPS app that comes with the iPad is as good or better than this costly app. The extra fee to unlock extra features gives you nothing useful. The default maps app displays more info and names of places. Stick with the default Maps that comes with your iPad.
