Flawed by poor text rendering
Overall this app is pretty good, although there are some strange omissions (e.g. it tells you how to ask for the time, but not how times are stated). The reference section entry for counter words is quite inadequate. The most serious problem is the poor text rendering. The screenshots do not accurately depict how the text is rendered, at least not on my iPod Touch (4th gen). The English rendering of the Japanese phrases is at times nearly unreadable.

Delete your previous version first before updating...LAME
This app hasn't worked on my iPhone 3GS for over a year now. I've updated with new versions about three times...no change. Finally I decided to check their website for support. Turns out you need to manually delete the previous version before installing the new. LAME! Finally works now.

Great Application!
Very useful, but if they had more words then it would of been better. I highly recommend everyone getting this app if you're a beginner. The pictures are very distinct and sounds are very chrisp. This app is affordable and more sufficient than other apps that are going for ten dollars. Yoshi

TO UPDATE: Delete old installation from device and iTunes.
I was having problems with the UPDATE, and I e-mailed them. They promptly e-mailed and called me with instructions. I deleted the app from my devices. Deleted the Apps from iTunes, then re purchased them. You are not charged for the second purchase. I reinstalled it on my iPod Touch and it works fine now. I will also reinstall it on my iPad. Nice of them to respond a few minutes of my e-mail. I'm happy I have the App working now, I like the App

Very helpful app
Having just moved to Tokyo I need all the language help I can get. This app is part of an arsenal I have on my iPhone. It it very useful and well-designed. Additionally, their email support is fast and very personal. A definitely good app to have.
