Early version 3 releases were painful
It functions like a well-tested program now. That wasn't the case in early releases of version 3.

Still the best...but with a minor flaw
I don't mind paying more to support a developer that I like, but please redesign the playback controls. You should not be able to swipe the controls as this leads to accidental swipes when trying to pause or skip. Also please make the controls LARGER, as large as they were in Instacast 1.0. That was something I really missed when Instacast 2.0 came around and it apparently got worse in Instacast 3.0. Once this is fixed it will be a five star app in my eyes.

V3 is basically full-featured, stable, and elegant enough, but some irritations and disappointments remain. 1st, the buttons can be slow to respond, both in UI navigation and also play controls buttons. Imagine trying to pause a video podcast at a certain spot, nut pressing pause doesn't respond until after the moment passes. As though the app or the processor is too busy to bother with user input right now. 2nd, auto deleting watched episodes seems broken, so that I must manually delete every episode after it's done. In fairness, it does seem to auto delete the bulky file, just not the episode listing. But this still means the list grows cluttered. Especially disappointing after I've found and tried all the settings called "auto-delete finished content," "auto delete content that is marked as played," etc. I assume it's a bug they're working on. These 2 irritants are enough to make me consider yet another switch in the unfinished hunt for that elusive really satisfying podcast app. But Instacast is a nearly super good podcast consumption solution. Keep up the good work Vemedio.

Great but ...
Missing the ability to search for a specific podcast, by episode title, from subscribed podcasts. If I can figure out how to do this, will bring to five stars.

If you own instacast and like it, keep it and don't up grade to instacast 3. To start with $4 is a rip-off for an HD upgrade of the app you have. There is no download priority. No way to set how many down loads at a time. In the original instacast if you stopped some of the downloads so that the one you want to listen to first will download faster they stayed stopped. Instacast 3 keeps starting them back up! You look back to see how your download is doing and the other podcast that you stopped are downloading again. What a pain! You have to keep an eye on the downloads and keep stopping the downloads you don't want to listen to so that the one you do want to listen to will download. ¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥ You can only listen to one podcast at a time! Why do they keep trying to download multiple podcast? ¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥ Another big problem with instacast 3 is going back and forth between audio versions of a podcast and the video version of the same podcast. Take Tech News Today for example: I download the audio version first (around 20 MB's) I start listening to it while I'm downloading the video version (200 MB's HQ) (they have HD but that's about 1 GB ) when the video is downloaded I can switch back and forth keeping my place in the timeline. Not with this version 3, it doesn't remember your place between audio and video versions of the same podcast. Not even when you're using their cloud sync! Oh and so now they have cloud syncing. Once again with no way to customize how it works. So if you have an iPhone and an iPad, using Tech News Today as a good example for this too. I have the audio podcast and HQ video podcast on my iPhone. On my iPad I don't want either of those versions of Tech News Today, I want the HD version only. But if you use their cloud syncing it will put all 3 versions on both devises. And it won't even keep your place in the timelines synced! What good is cloud syncing if it won't sync your place in the timelines! All it will do is put all the same podcast on all your devises. Even if you don't want them on all of your devises. No way to customize it! THE ONE THING CLOUD SYNCING SHOULD DO ABOVE ALL OTHERS IS KEEP YOUR PLACE IN THE TIMELINE WHEN SWITCHING BETWEEN DEVISES! It's like the developers never used a Kindle before. LOL! (no it's not really funny) OMG! This is way too long. They want $4 for this P.O.S. version 3. If you're like me, you'll be much happier with the original instacast.
