I have been looking for an app like this ever since iFitness got pulled. This particular type of app (workout logging) is very underrepresented in the app store. When I saw this as the featured app of the week, I figured it was worth the $2 if Apple liked it that much. First of all, I understand this app is a port of the same app for iPad. However, it requires some updating to make it a full-fledged iPhone app. The graphics need to be updated to take full advantage of the Retina Display of the iPhone 4. Also, the name of the app as displayed on the phone should be shortened to "iMuscle" to avoid the annoying ellipsis shown on the home screen. The app also needs a user interface update. On the larger screen of the iPad, the buttons might not be so small, but on the 3.5 inch screen of an iPhone, they are downright tiny and make navigation a pain. The iPhone version of this app needs an interface that takes advantage of its unique form factor. As far as features go, having the ability to add exercises while in the middle of a workout would be nice. Everyone who goes to the gym knows that sometimes you have to improvise while doing a workout, but you obviously don't want to permanently edit your programmed routines. Allowing for adding and removing sets for a workout is another feature that is desperately needed. I do sets of 3, 4 and 5 on a weekly rotation and don't want to create new workouts for each different number of sets. Like I said earlier, this is a good start. The app has great potential, but desperately needs a graphics and UI overhaul as well as a few new features.

I'm blown away with the flawless graphics, navigation and instructional support of this app. I can't imagine how amazing the pro version is. Now when my physical therapist talks about muscle groups and exercises I can literally see 3d details of the muscles and watch animations of proper form AND track custom workouts. $1.99? That's almost free.

Good app but...
It tends to crash a lot and there should be a way to activate a workout in any order not just the order they were entered! It's very difficult to choose the workout your on because it goes in the order the workouts were entered. This would be good except for the fact that I don't always do the same exercises in order- please make changes!

Great app for honing your understanding of your body
I have a bunch of fitness and exercise apps, but this one stands out. Others have similar varieties of exercises, but this is unique in showing exactly how and why different techniques work specific parts of your body. I plan to go through the app to enhance my understanding of how the human body is put together. The graphics are also really stunning on my iPhone 4 too.

So so
The iPhone version of this app losses some of it's best features that the iPad app has. The scalpel feature is completely gone! I'll rate this five stars no questions asked if the scalpel feature comes in an update.

I really enjoy this app. Runs smooth, animations and pin resolution could use a little touchup but otherwise very cool.
