That error code B27102 is a problem. Sometimes the app will connect fine. When it does, it is a great way to control my VSX-33. Other times, no amount of sweet talking or rebooting my wireless router makes a difference. Finally figured out how to resolve it. Force the receiver to get a self-assigned IP address (169.254.x.x) by unplugging the receiver's Ethernet cable from the router, then cycle the receiver's DHCP settings off/on. Once you see that self-assigned IP address, plug the Ethernet cable back in. Cycle the DHCP settings off/on again and the receiver will (hopefully) get a different IP address from the DHCP server on the router. Try the app to make sure it works. Now go to settings again and manually input the settings that the DHCP server gave the receiver. By turning off DHCP, and assigning a static IP, you assure that the devices don't lose track of each other on the network. This process worked for me. I hope it works for others.

No support
Bought a vsx1020k hooked up Internet radio - works fine, proves network is working. Downloaded app & nothing but errors. Checked website: no support Sent email: response was call customer support Customer support: response was reinstall app (no help), try another phone (really?), receiver is broken & I'll need to bring it in for repair. Not much customer support! Basically the app is a crap shot as to whether it will work or not.

To idiots who are giving this app a one star: If an app is not compatible with your receiver does not mean it's a bad app. Stop giving a one star - you don't even know how it works or how good it is because it is not compatible with your receiver. Get a better receiver and it will work just fine.

Pioneer needs to update their app
Take a look at Sony's or Yamaha's app and you will be extremely upset with Pioneer. Very disappointed in this app.

Does not support any recent Elite series Recievers.
I too have a SC-25 and, as others have pointed out, it does not work. Shame on you pioneer. The SC-25 was released in August of 09 and this app was released a few months later in early 2010. Why is there no support for these over $1000 systems? This completely does not make sense and is an insult to any who have spent money on the recent equipment. It seems that though they make their systems firm ware upgradeable this feature is an after thought for marketing purposes. I have yet to see any operational improvements and this app sends a clear message that pioneer is unwilling to spend any thought or time on their products after they have released them. I didnt buy this system for this app but I did buy it for the obvious potential for something like this. In the future I will seek either another company for my a/v gear or just buy used as their is no clear advantage to owning recent models. (other than writing big checks)
