PDF to voice = great new iBook feature!
The update doesn't saying anything about adding the ability for PDF to be read by the voice option but the new update allows it to work! This was a missing feature on the last iBook. Now I can read along and it keeps me on task. Thanks Apple

The New Look
For the most part, nothing has really changed. The books appear the same, the interface of iBooks when in the books themselves has remained the same and none of the mechanics have been substantially changed. My only complaint is the iOS 7 styled version of the book shelves main page, it looks absolutely terrible now. With it's painfully plain white background and lack of any substance whatsoever it burns my eyes every time I look at it. I say a major retexture for that homepage background is very much needed.

Wow. I mean, sure, I can still read my books with it. And yes, it's all flat & seven-ish now. While that's been okay in every other stock app - and fine for the home screen icons - it's somehow awful for the bookcase. There was a charm and a class to the wooden bookcase & the way it spun to reveal the store. The warmth of it eased the transition from paper to screen, and gave weight to these things that need weight. Now my books live in a place without substance or character; an antiseptic plane in which they float in an eye-draining purgatory of white nothingness. The cover art seems to blurt out at me in a riot of contrast, where once the texture of the bookshelf allowed each to compliment the other. It's horrid.

DO NOT UPDATE
The update is AWFUL! They took away the bookshelf look and replaced it with an ugly, boring white screen. Seriously upset that I updated. PLEASE PUT BACK THE BOOKSHELF.
