Great Update
Thanks apple- this update looks great. I love the new icon and iOS 7 design.

Hate the new icon and miss the wood shelf.
Without the wood shelf iBooks looks no different than nook, kobo or sony reader app. Has lost its unique look. Guess will be switching to kindle app or something else. Goodbye good old iBooks. Welcome BLAND flatness.

Huh??? Plain...
I really like the older iBooks better with the shelve. this one just looks plain and boring. Apple at least give us an option to change the background / skin to be the bookshelf or something a little more customizable rather than plain ole white and grey. And if you could do something with the calendar and notes that would be awesome too. At least allow us the ability to switch to legacy look and feel and new if we are going to be pushed to this.. nice effort but not really liking it.

Not as good as the previous version
The iOS 7 version is a disappointment like most of the iOS 7 updates I've seen. No longer has the great graphics or animations that use to show off the great iOS devices. It is functional is all I can say good about it. Certainly not an improvement in look.

Ugly, and not easy on the eyes.
Bring back the old book style layout! I really hate everything about the new design. You had a good thing and ruined it! Why?

Love it!
Apple finally got rid of that hideous wooden bookshelf. I couldn't stand the skeuomorphism of the old version and this app does exactly what it needs to do: display my books and their artwork and allow me to customize my reading experience.
