GOF2 with JRPG flair
Title says it in a nutshell. Great graphics and sound. Intersting JRPG story. Unique realtime flight sim/RPG style battle system. Real cool. It took a bit to get into the flow, but once I did it became very fun. Just buy it and stop being a dork over a couple of bucks. iOS gamers are so fickle.

Worth the price
Very solid game. The IAPs aren't necessary like some have said. My only complaint is that it would be nice to have a screen showing what blueprints I have looted from pirates. Otherwise, this is a fun, engaging game.

Addicting
Similar to freelancer on PC. Open world. Equip your starships with many options. Space battles are a bit too easy.

Not quite a 5...
Excellent game, the flexibility in ship customization is impressive, although I have two very big issues, one regarding the game design, one about a very annoying bug. First, game design. By design, my fleet cannot have more than two active ships at a time. So far, the largest enemy fleet I have encountered was 8 ships. All in combat. AT THE SAME TIME!!!!! Thankfully, the inability to have more than two ships in my active fleet at the same time is not a game breaker, but the battle of my two versus eight enemy ships proves that that a five on five battle will not crash my first-gen ipad. There wasn't even any lag, for crying out loud. Second, the bug. Way, way, WAY too often, whenever I accept a mission that requires me to follow another ship, when I get to the ship I need to follow, it does NOT fly to it's destination. Instead, it flies in a circle. Repeatedly. Over and over and over. Even if I get into a fight and it pauses the ship I'm supposed to follow, once I start following it again, it continues flying in a circle. Time, once spent, can never be gotten back, and the time this game has stolen from me because of this bug pisses me off immensely. Overall, a fun game, worthy of a 3 or 4 star rating due to the BS limit on the player's fleet size, although, if you can fix that bug, WITHOUT THE UPDATE MAKING THE GAME UNPLAYABLE ON MY FIRST GENERATION IPAD, then I would have no problem raising this game to a 4-star rating.
