Nice, but . . .
I use this app often, especially in the grocery store while shopping. However, the inability to sync personal recipes to the Recipe Box is a MAJOR drawback. Without this sync, there's no good reason to purchase the Recipe Box upgrade. Epicurious is dishonest in not highlighting this flaw.

I love it
I live in an area where Bon Appetite and Gourmet are unavailable, and I have been extremely happy browsing the recipes in this app. I like the ability to sort by various combinations of criteria and the ability to read source, nutrition, and reviews if interested. On the downside, the occasional full page ads are annoying, but a minor inconvenience, relatively speaking. The app unexpectedly shut down a couple times, but opened up again without a problem. I am so happy to find such a well organized source of what look like excellent recipes ...for free....that I feel I can't complain.

Lost favorites...again
I'm disappointed with this app. I've had this app for almost as long as I've had an iPhone, almost 4 years now. I've lost my favorites on here three times now. This is super frustrating Epicurious! By now I would have expected that that would have been fixed. I love the variety of recipes I can search through and the quality of these recipes is fantastic. I love that the recipes change with the holidays and seasons. However, if I use the favorites option, I won't be updating this app. It's a waste of paper to have to print or write out directions/ingredients and I use this app enough that the loss of my year worth of carefully selected recipes is beyond frustrating. I suspect it has something to do with the "recipe box" they've been pushing. I'm sorry but I shouldn't have to pay $1.99 to ensure I don't lose my recipes when it's a free app.

Lost all my favorites
I found the recipes in this app are very good, but losing all my favorites with each update is a true bummer. Come on, Epicurious, can you please fix this!??

I like! But....
Great app, good ui and nav. Pretty darn good diversity and selection. However, 1. Id like to be able to submit photos to the owner of the recipe via iPhone 2.cant review recipes in the mobile app... Maybe it's just certain ones...but I had to go to the desktop site to review and rate. Having said that I think that adding these features would add to your community and make the recipes display even better. I want to be more than just active on epicurious (viewing and cooking), I would like to be proactive! (adding pictures to compliment good recipes) So it's a good app, but if you want some UX advice...please support your proactive community. That's what's driving the innovative parts of your user driven service. Thank you! That is all.
