Great to have
Love this app. Used it on my iPhone all the time and now on my iPad mini. A suggestion though....the ability to add my own cooking notes would be helpful since I make changes along the way and would like to have that saved for the next time I decide to make the dish again.

The bug isn
I really liked the fact my recipe box could sync to the app and the shopping list for any recipe was right at my finger tips. As others have stated the update to fix the disappearing recipe names didn't happen. I'd rate it much higher if it actually worked.

It used to work fine on my old iPhone. Now I bought a new iPhone 5 & the app doesn't want to open for me

Broken with and by ads.
Congratulations! You've succeeded in turning one of the best apps on any platform into the worst. How? Let's examine: 1. Can't remove ingredients. When trying, your full screen pop up ad jumps up to intercept the touches your app is ignoring (the x blinks so I know my fingers are hitting the right spot on the icons). 2. No ability to clear a search. Which means more touching. Which leads to more full screen ads. 3. Somehow, your developers decided that hitting the "he hasn't seen a full screen ad in three touches so let's blast him" magic number also means I'm done putting ingredients in and triggers a search. Which means I have to back up. Which counts as a touch. Which leads to full screen popup ads. 4. Proving that nothing is too stupid to preserve digitally forever, your developers also handily have your app saving state permanently so killing the app doesn't get rid of last search data. Which leads to more touching. Which leads to more popup ads. If you have waded through my dripping sarcasm to this point, I will assume that you are astute enough to realize the problem. Nope. Not the ads. Lots of apps have those. Yes, FUNCTIONALITY! When your app functions correctly, I'll be back. And for the record, I have subscribed to your magazine, Bon Appetit, for nearly 5 years so I am a paying customer.

Hasn't worked for months
This app is completely broken. Like others say, once great and could be again, but useless now.

frustrating app
despite the recent upgrade which was suppose to fix this bug, recipes in the recipe box do not show the photo or the title of the recipe. if you were hoping for easy reference on your mobile device, forget it.
