Can't sync
After entering my own recipes at the website I am unable to sync these with my iPad. Do not waste your money trying to sync.

Don't waste your money on the Sync feature
I added my recipes to the website, saved them to my recipe box and now not only are they not in my recipe box on my phone or iPad, but they won't even come up when I search for them. Free download is decent, but if you have an iPad just got to the website. Don't waste time with the Sync upgrade.

Missing obvious functionality
I'm a big fan of Epicurious, so I wish I could give this a better rating. But it's missing two critical pieces: If you're looking at recipes from your recipe box, there's no way to look at your own notes! So what's the point? And second, when you look at reviews, it only shows you the most recent 10. So if you're sitting on the couch browsing recipes, you're better off doing it through Safari to get the full range of critiques. It's particularly annoying when people say (as they often do), "I agree with so-and-so about adding such-and-such" and you can't see that review on the iPad. Again, what's the point of the app if it's missing out on something so basic? These seem so obvious that at first I wrote to Epicurious thinking I was missing something, but no response or change in this version.

"translation" to IPad
I just got this app and looked up a recipe for brisket that a friend had recently tried. The iPad version said to brown the meat for 56 minutes and later to put it under the broiler for 30 minutes. The times should have been 5 to 6 minutes and 3 to 4. This kind of mis-translation will lead to kitchen disasters! I hope it is not common in the recipes, though I fear it may be.

Epicurius
I used to use it all the time. My last update seemed to kill it. Can't get it back.
