Broken with and by ads.
Congratulations! You've succeeded in turning one of the best apps on any platform into the worst. How? Let's examine: 1. Can't remove ingredients. When trying, your full screen pop up ad jumps up to intercept the touches your app is ignoring (the x blinks so I know my fingers are hitting the right spot on the icons). 2. No ability to clear a search. Which means more touching. Which leads to more full screen ads. 3. Somehow, your developers decided that hitting the "he hasn't seen a full screen ad in three touches so let's blast him" magic number also means I'm done putting ingredients in and triggers a search. Which means I have to back up. Which counts as a touch. Which leads to full screen popup ads. 4. Proving that nothing is too stupid to preserve digitally forever, your developers also handily have your app saving state permanently so killing the app doesn't get rid of last search data. Which leads to more touching. Which leads to more popup ads. If you have waded through my dripping sarcasm to this point, I will assume that you are astute enough to realize the problem. Nope. Not the ads. Lots of apps have those. Yes, FUNCTIONALITY! When your app functions correctly, I'll be back. And for the record, I have subscribed to your magazine, Bon Appetit, for nearly 5 years so I am a paying customer.

Hasn't worked for months
This app is completely broken. Like others say, once great and could be again, but useless now.

frustrating app
despite the recent upgrade which was suppose to fix this bug, recipes in the recipe box do not show the photo or the title of the recipe. if you were hoping for easy reference on your mobile device, forget it.

Love Epicurious Hate the App
Despite the most recent update that was supposed to fix disappearing recipe titles about two thirds of the recipes in my "Favorites" list are missing titles and every time I have the app open for any length of time a few more titles are lost. A shame as this has always been one of my most used apps.

Even worse on the iPhone 5
App just updated to show recipe titles. Not yet convinced this is improved. Still the shopping list does not populate with a list. Lots of nice lines but no items. I even just bought the $1.99 sync, thinking that was the problem. Guess not. Really disappointing.

Disappearing Recipe Titles
Just downloaded on 11-26-2912 the latest update that was to correct disappearing recipe names from Epicurious ap. Failure! Names are still missing. When I revisit on my iPhone 4S a saved "favorite" recipe, the recipe title disappears. Now I have to open every recipe to find the one I'm looking for. Fix this!
