As many problems as recipes.
The app is loaded with recipes. But, it crashes constantly, will say connect to Internet while on the Internet. It could be really good if they fixed it up. Beware though is packed with advertisements.

My favorite recipes are lost in the mess.
While the online version has a very good search function, this App has zero ability to search within my saved recipes. I only have 344 recipes saved but I can't use this app to find them. They are in logical folders like, beef, main dish, appetizer.... But this app will not work with them.

Frustration
Basically what everyone has said. App frustration is great. What makes it worse is apparent silence from Conde Nast.

Terrible App
The search results are limited. I searched "chicken chow mein", got results for lamb and turkey instead? Simple dishes are hard to fine relevant search results for. App constantly crashes. Much rather use their website.

Once a great website, now a useless app
I joined epicurious & set up my recipe box in 2008. Up until a year ago the recipe box was fantastic: able to add my own recipes, make notes to existing ones, FULL EXTENSIVE FILTERS to sort thru my collection of hundreds of recipes. The latter is indispensable, to be able to find a seafood appetizer amongst 300+ recipes when that is what you need was the beauty of this website. Now the webmasters have revised the website, redesigned the recipe box with less functional search capabilities & no filters -- all render the website useless. The app is even worse. To their credit they have finally given the opportunity to access your own privately entered recipes on the app, but without previous filter/search capabilities the app (and the whole website) barely gets a star. I don't know what they were thinking or what their intentions were, but I've gone from a daily user to barely touching this. They have been completely unresponsive to this problem. Ive sent a bunch of emails over the past year with no response. If you go into their website, epicurious.com, look under community >forums & find the threads on fixing the recipe box, you will find a bunch of angry frustrated former users who have posted on this same topic. That gives you an idea of the app support you will get with this company.
