App does not do anything. just sits at name screen. Developer website is defunct. I want my money back!

Broken on IOS7
I loved the PC version, but alas on the iPad it hangs as soon as I enter my name. The app support link doesn't work either.

I keep coming back to this one
An outstanding turn-based strategy game, with enough depth to keep you coming back. It's still accessible enough for beginners, though, with a well-thought-out trajectory for increasing the game's complexity. There is variety: the game doesn't have just one sort of problem, but several interconnected problems. A good deal of the fun is learning which problem most needs your attention in a particular battle. The game makes good use of the space available on the iPad--everything is always visible. It plays well on the mini. The random elements are great enough that you'll get some unwinnable (and sometimes unsurvivable) battles on the "insane" level. I don't mind this--why play a game you're sure to win? It would be nice if the game had a way to unlock a replay function so you could retry the really difficult battles to see if there is any way they could have been beaten. I'm a bit less enthusiastic about the game's one twitchy element, where you have only a couple of seconds to deploy your troops, but at least you are allowed to gather your thoughts before the time starts.

Solid, Simple, Deep Srategy Game
As the title states, DotO is a pretty engaging strategy game. It's quick enough to be pick-up-and-play, but chances are time will fly as you move from one randomly generated level to the next.

Great pedigree
Crazy coincidence! I was listening today (5/11/13) to a Games With Garfield podcast from 3 years ago, and one of Oasis' designers ( Marc LeBlanc) was a guest. He mentioned that this game had just been approved for the iPad. The game sounded great, so I hopped on the App Store, and discovered that it just went on sale yesterday! Perfect. These guys know strategy gaming. Support developers like this.
