The best comic app out there, but . . .
I travel quite a bit for work, and I like to occasionally read comics to help pass the time. I put a great deal of time into scanning by back issues and converting them into .cbr or .cbz format, and I've tried every possible reader app out there and they all came up short for me in one way or another. That is, until I stumbled across this app! It makes it easier to view all my books as assembled by title or collection when storylines crossover to different titles (like Siege). There are a number of settings to customize the app to your heart's content, and even allows you to see your reading progress without opening the book again. That said, there are a few things I would like to see added to make this app absolutely perfect: first off, there really should be some sort of mechanism built into the app that allows for exporting the books back to the desktop for archiving/backup purposes. I know the books are backed up as part of the app data, but it's impossible to sift through all of the data to get the books, and they're not even in the original .cbr or .cbz format but as individual images. I have 6GB of books installed and it would be nice to be able to back them up to an external drive should I choose. Also, it would be nice to see more frequent updates to the app. As I said, you really can't go wrong with this app, it's the best, but until they add that export feature, I can't give it five stars.

Great program
This program is almost the sole reason why I purchased my iPad 2. I love it.

Best comic reader app
My number app use it just as much as my text message app, I'm always reading comics and this app makes it quite easy. A better way to organize comics within would be better.

Crashes often
Crashes too much. When it actually runs it is good. Only problem is it doesnt automatically know when an image is horizontal. It should show it in landscape without having to turn the iPad like comic reader. Being able to better organize it would be helpful. For Instance I can out every sin city in one folder, or i can put each AI. City story/arc in its own folder. I cannot make a sin city folder, then folders for each story or arc within the overall sin city folder....you have to pick one way or the other to do it.

File limitations make this almost useless
I suppose this application would be worth having IF you have a small comic collection, but it appears that if you have more than a few hundred comics (or at least data more than 8GB or so) you won't be able to copy them in, no matter how much memory you have on your iPad (I have the 64GB iPad and even with nearly 40GB free I am bumping up against memory problems). It may be due to the way USB transfers work with apps -- unlike iTunes data transfer there appears to be some serious issues (many users have reported backup issues and other file problems with this app). If so, perhaps IOS5 will help, although the developer will most likely have to do some work. In the meantime I'd advise anyone with a large collection to forget about this and just use the free CloudReaders app -- it doesn't organize your comics the way this one does, but since you can't get your collection on the point is moot.
