Love the app, though it's pricey
I've tried pretty much every comic app on the AppStore but nothing so far has come close to this one. I stayed away from Comic Zeal for a while b/c of the high price point--something that still needs to be remedied for new customers--but even with it, I still love this. Small touches like the box graphics and the graphics for finished comics are great at selling the app's core comic reading concept. Even the navigation, which I originally found cumbersome, has grown to be second nature. All that swiping really does work to easily move comics and series from one place to another. The final product is smooth, quick, and responsive. So if you're a comic reader, I highly recommend making the jump. And if you're the developer, make the price a bit more enticing or release a free version so people can see what they're missing out on.

Not Bad
There are a bunch of features about CZ I really enjoy, however some things confuse me. Importing via wireless (using CZ Sync) on an iPad doesn't work very well. Importing comic files this way results in multiple copies of the same book, placed into series folders. For example, I imported 17 comics and what I got was five of them in their own series' folders with two and three copies of the same book, while others were by themselves as stand-alone books. Reimporting the list (to resync) results in additional copies of the same book instead of skipping over them in favor or new entries. Additionally, syncing wirelessly is very flakey. Unless you force the device to stay awake during a large import, CZ will lose the connection and fail import. This goes back to having to reimport the list, resulting in multiple copies of the same titles. The best way to import books is via file sharing in iTunes and a USB cable. On the good side, the rendering of comics is beautiful and if you can overlook the wireless issues, this app is a steal for $5. Rating is 3.5 stars with the wireless issues and 4.5 stars using USB only.

Love this app
I really like the design of this app. You need to invest some time learning the app but its very fluid once you get the hang of it. I found it worth the price as I tried two other readers and had endless problems with those and zero with Zeal.

Exactly what I wanted, could be easier
Contrary to what some people have said I had no problem importing all 103 issues of "The Walking Dead" to my iPhone. Sorting things could be a little easier, but it does everything I wanted/needed it to and makes reading a breeze. Download it if you're looking for a way to read your comics easily and without having to mess around with formatting.
