I've tried all the comic archive viewers and this one is clearly the best. Lots of polish improvements over the previous version. Biggest problem I've found so far is a hang when using iTunes to add files. The more files already on the device, the longer until you can start dragging archives.

Best Comic Reader I've seen
This is by far the best app for organizing and reading your comics. I wish some of the Apps that sell digital comics would make the interface for organizing you comics like this App does. Not only can you organize the comics by series, but you can build add a list to view you comics by story arc or make a to read list for yourself. Bravo! I love this app.

Great App for Reading Archived Comics/Manga
If you have a collection of scanlated manga, this app is great for letting you read archived (zip, rar, etc) comic files. It also lets you select whether files should be read from left to right or right to left. Organizing files with the slider might seem confusing at first but it is actually quite intuitive and works very well once you understand the idea. For now, the only addition that would be nice is if it had a built in browser or some other download manager feature for downloading manga from sites like stoptazmo and/or mangatraders. It might also be nice if importing was done in the background, but as things stand this is still a great app.

Rip Off!
I downloaded this app because it got on a "free today or for a time" list. I never download apps that appear on those lists that don't have "Free" in the button when I check on ITunes, in case I missed the time period. I certainly would never download a mere comic reader for 8 bucks. Yet that's what the charge is in the email from Apple. Congrats. My app buying experience just tanked. Now I feel like I have to take a time date stamped screen shot of the Price button before I click in case I get ripped off again.

Supports fit-to-width view, but otherwise flawed
Comic Zeal is a rather quirky program. I've read the documentation, but still find it's user interface somewhat byzantine and unresponsive. However, it has a full feature-set that includes a comics organization scheme that should satisfy most everyone. Most important for me, however, is the support of a fit-to-width view. Every other comic viewer I tried insisted on shrinking the page to fit the screen and in the process wasted precious screen real estate on black borders. The modern comic form-factor, however, can be displayed very nicely on the iPad's 4:3 aspect screen with just an inch or so of scrolling at the bottom of the page. The additional scrolling doesn't bother me, though. For me, that's preferable over having a smaller page render that's slightly harder to read in the fit-to-screen view. Pros: Fit-to-wdth, comprehensive organization scheme, supports iTunes File Sharing nicely. Cons: Interface takes some getting used to. Page-turning doesn't always trigger.

Great. But lacks optimal features.
Seriously, I can't seem to find one really full app for comics. It's just incredible. My problems with Comic Zeal? Three. 1- Why can't I make custom bookmarks. Very important feature? 2- Why does the "page browser" can't show a little preview of the page, just like far cheaper apps like Bookman do? How am I supposed to find a specific page on the comic? 3- And why do I have to give a swipe the size of the world to turn a page? This is a serious issue, since it makes turning pages with the thumbs a and tiring task. Man, I can't believe every single comic reading app lacks one or two major things that simply transform them from awesome to annoying. Frustrating. Gets a 3 'cause the app is actually good. Just not as good as it should be.
