Fun and useful
This is a beautifully realized app that gets better with every update. Very easy to use it has many functions that make it fun for kids but more importantly a working practical instrument for musicians. User friendly fully modifiable synth with midi out and a drum machine, with an interface that is pretty and intuitive.

Works so good as a controller for other apps, hardware, and DAW software. A+ app

This is exactly what polychord should have, my only complaint with this new update is the drum machine and arppegiator should have midi out as well

Midi out is the icing on the cake...
Edit on 3/8/13: with the new update, I would give this app 10 stars if I could. Audiobus! the biggest change is the the new custom layouts with the ability to choose the octave range and a lot of new chord types. The drum and apreggiator are nice additions as well. I still use Chordion regularly for my MacBook synths and Kontakt over wifi midi, and the Audiobus is icing on the cake. Absolutely the best midi controller on the App Store. At the price this app sells for, this is a ridiculous deal. It's a great interface for playing other IOS synths via midi out. I have Polychord, and this app does many things I wish Polychord did. The chord customization in this app is more flexible. The layout of the "buttons" is more natural to me, and you can change which pad triggers which chord if you'd like. This ability to move chords around is a big help and allows you to place chords in the order in which they will be played, rather than jumping around the screen from one chord to the next. I still use Polychord occasionally, but this app is becoming one of my favorites. I recently discovered the ability to save my custom chord pad setups, which has made my composing much more streamlined. You can save your configuration under the song name or whatever you'd like to call it, and the chords pads are right back where you had them after spending time laying them out. Chordion also makes a great controller for Kontakt via wifi midi. I can play one instrument with the pads on one midi channel, and another instrument via the onscreen keyboard in Chordion on a second channel. I almost feel like I'm cheating by being able to play complex chords in Kontakt with one finger. I know you can set up scripts to play chords in Kontakt, but this covers a lot of chords the scripts do not, and it requires no setup. I experience no noticeable latency using the app this way, but if you do I suggest plugging your host computer directly into your router via Ethernet cable. Buy, buy, buy. You won't regret it.

First class
Lke some promising pupil (it, not me) I had high holes for this piece of work and that's exactly what it's becoming; a hell of a piece of work and all good. Don't stop working, if you're the developer. Don't stop from buying it if you're not.
