Not regional enough
Los Angeles county has over 200 species. I have three owls and two humming birds along with all the other species typical to our region around my house. Only one of the owls is in the app. There's lots of species that seem quite unlikely in SoCal - wild turkeys? Really? I encourage the developer to keep working. With a larger database and more focused regionalization this could be useful to me. Better support for identification of songs would be a big plus - i frequently hear songs of species "passing through" but cannot see them. If I could have the app capture the song and identify the bird that would be truly superior software.

Great for bird calling
This app is among the best for bird calling. I use it all the time to fill my yard with birds. They call back and it brings them in. I love it

iPhone app lacking
The iPad version can be searched and browsed, but the iPhone app cannot. This means if you see a bird and want to find it, the iPhone version won't help.

Great program but wish pictures would indicate differences between male and female when applicable.

Great app!
I love this bird app. I've been wanted to learn how to ID birds by sound and this is a fun way to start. This was definitely worth my $$.
