Needs work NOW!
App v2.0 crashes when search (new and improved) is invoked. Crashes on launch on iPad 1, iOS 4.3. Search crashes app on iPhone 3GS and 4. Audubon, clean up you app, please. Device reboot doesn't help; haven't tried Delete-then-Reload method yet. Should not be necessary.

continues to be awful
Not at all worthy of Audubon's name. A disgrace to a fine organization. This app started out being poor and continues to be poor. I bought the TX only guide last wildflower season. It was buggy to the point of being unusable. Support persuaded me to try the main app. I thought I would give them another chance. Tried it, it was still awful. Another year, hoping it would be better. No dice. Search crashes every single time. No forgotten password for account login. Does silly things like ask you to type your password twice. Organization is poor. Try to browse through 450 bilaterally symmetrical flowers without a way to refine a search.

Could be better
This app contains a lot of information. But its production seems rushed. First, the search engine is clunky. If you misspell a word by so much as one letter, you will get no results. This can be a problem if you have clumsy fingers. Second, commands within the app are not always efficient or intuitive. Surely, Audubon can do better than mediocre.

Powerful new search added
I'm the naturalist at Green Mountain Digital, the developer, and I just wanted to highlight our new search function. You can now search by a wide range of plant, flower and leaf characteristics in any combinations, as well as all of the previously available characteristics.

Old one worked. New version will not. EDITED
NOTE UPDATE: I enjoyed using the previous version when I was out in the woods. I downloaded the latest update, and nothing will load. I click on the icon, the opening screen shows up, and then all goes back to the desktop. Downloaded the program again, and reinstalled. Same thing. UPDATE: Contacted Audubon support. Had me delete the program from the phone, and then reinstall it. Works fine now. Left the first part in just in case someone else was having the same problem. A great tool to take hiking. However, the flower names are sometimes different when you are dealing with the local population, so looking them up by name can be interesting. (Not an Audubon issue!)

Good idea; Too many bugs
Crashes and u lose all data. When u sync life lists/sightings/photos all go away. I spent a lot of time entering data and lost all Missing many Great Basin plants. Does have good pics. Itunes did give refund.
