Great app for on the go!
Love to be able to have a quick handy reference of wildflowers for when out hiking or simply walking in the woods! Keep up the good work!

Not Audubon Quality
While I could list many things I have found frustrating about this app I'll focus on the one thing that should set it apart from its paper sibling: search. And I'll use a real-world example to illustrate. Let's say we've come across a flower we want to identify--let's use Carolina Wild Petunia (Ruellia Caroliniensis) as an example. Using the Advanced search feature we'll select a few of the obvious options to make our search quick. Flower shape: radially symmetrical Flower parts: 5 Flower color: purple Leaf type: simple Leaf arrangement: opposite Leaf shape: lance (it's really elliptical but there's no option for that). Results: Dwarf Purple Monkeyflower NOT IT! Let's broaden the search parameters by removing the leaf shape. Results: Dwarf Purple Monkeyflower, Periwinkle, and Texas Silverleaf. NOT IT! Let's remove the Flower inflorescence shape. Results: FINALLY. It is within the 19 results. If you read the description of this species you'll discover that the leaves are elliptical and the flower inflorescence shape is axillary.

unsatisfactory
The app has photos that are barely useful. They show a very tight view of the terminal flower of most species. As someone thoroughly trained in botany and wildflower identification, it feels almost insulting not to be shown views of the whole plant, including the leaves and all the other information the whole plant gives to confirm identification. It cheats beginners, because they don't learn what's needed to really know plants.

Thumbnails too small
I love having this field guide info at my finger tips, but I'd you don't know what you're looking for these really won't help. Unlike the hard-copies, the thumbnail pics are so small they are useless on both the iPhone and iPad. I've finally become frustrated enough to post this on all the guides I've purchased with the hope that others will agree and get the developers attention since this I really the only major flaw in thaw otherwise excellent apps.

Audubon Flower Guide App
Superb App. Provides excellent easy to use reference for wildflower ID's. I recommend anyone buy this Ap that enjoys researching wildflowers in the field.
