10 out of 20 give 1 star!
How is it that half of the reviews I've read give this crappy app 1 star and it is a 5 star app? Should be a 2 star app, at best. And the "naturalist for the developer" should go out and take some pictures of trees to put on here, instead of crappy pictures of leaves!! Current version is still a POS.

Brand-new Search Feature
I'm the naturalist for the developer, Green Mountain Digital, and I just wanted to highlight a new feature that we're really excited about. We've revamped the search entirely, and the new search is much more powerful than what we had before. You can now search by a range of tree, leaf / needle, fruit and flower characteristics...

Isn't worth the price.
Lots of shortcomings for the price, not to mention some information is inaccurate. For example, some trees are shown to be disbursed over an entire state, instead of the region within a state. So palm trees are just as common in northern California as they are in southern California! Pictures are lacking as well. Each entry should show: the individual leaf, the seed, the branch, the bark, and an overall picture of the tree (preferably in various seasons). One or two blurry pictures doesn't cut it. Buyer beware!

Terrible
this is crap. The fact that the app crashed four times in the first 5 minutes I tried to use it isn't even the big complaint. the photos are minimal (as is the information) making it useless for identification. The apps ad makes claims that are not true - false advertising in my book. All sales are final and don't even think about returns or contacting a real person. Last thing I buy from Apple.

Amazing amount of information
Wow, I was impressed before. This is even better. There are thousands of photographs and they are terrific. I enjoy the whole thing a lot. Taking this app out into the woods to identify is such a great way to learn.

okay for your everyday hiker..
It's a good concept for an app, but if I were to change something, I would expand it so you can search by both common and scientific name. I used this app while going to school for forestry and sometimes couldn't use it because how the browsing is set up, but otherwise the descriptions were good and it helped as a study aid.
