Great App -- Needs a back button
This is a beautiful and easy to use app, with only one real flaw: there's no way to get back to the main screen or navigate between guides within the app. If I want to look up, say, a wildflower and the bug that is crawling on it, first I have to search through the wildflowers and then, in order to return to the main screen and use the bug guide, I have to close the app and restart it. This is inconvenient and just plain silly. One of the benefits of this app is having region-specific information about a variety of plants and animals all in a single app. But not being able to easily navigate between guides from within the app really defeats this purpose. Fix this flaw, and maybe add a few more pictures to aid in identification, and this gets five stars!

Don't go out without it
Great fun - even if I'm just rambling around the neighborhood. Serves me well for the many "I wonder .... " moments hiking, at a park, along a river - wherever. Easily engages children as they prefer technology to printed guides.

Misleading price...
Item states summer sale $4.99 (email also verifies this), yet the iTunes billing charges the full price $9.99. Need to honor price....

Disappointing for serious use
Normally I like the Audubon series but I am glad that I bought this when it was on sale for $4.99. It has most of the most common specimens so if your looking for something like the Cinnabar moth you're not going to find it. If you are just looking for a single resource of common and obvious organisms then this app might work for someone in the Pacific NW otherwise stick to your 2-3 books. You'll likely have more specimen coverage. Deleted it keeping the non-region specific Audubon apps for better specimen coverage.

Worth the money
Magnificent pictures, correct information, good support, this is what an app should be. The pictures on the new iPad that has the new screen are marvelous.

Good but I need more time with it to verify excellence.
I downloaded this app this afternoon. An initial look at it indicates a very good app that is very useful for a person with any interest in nature. I expect that I will find it to be excellent when/as I gain more experience with it.
