WAS a nice app...
...when it worked. Installed latest update and have the same problems as others are reporting. Now totally useless. Note to developers: Apps should be TESTED before released. Update 2/10: according to the developers this only happens when upgrading from a very old version. I was upgrading from the prior (not very old) version. Regardless the solution is to delete and re-download. This got it working but it is still unstable. "connection" error messages plus it freezes up. Better but needs more work. Oh yes...now has annoying ads and the free version now only allows 3 sounds.

What everyone else said
the good news is that the problem is ubiquitous and widepsread which means the solution is easy. patience everyone... And ambiance developers, embarrassment time over get on the fix!

No longer works
Does not work after most recent update. I had been considering upgrading to the full version, but now...not so much.

Do not upgrade!
I was lured in by the new features and user interface... only to discover the update totally hoses Ambience. Endless loop of the app demanding to be restarted as soon as you launch it. The only solution I found was to delete it and install a new copy, but then all your sounds are lost and you have to go hunt them down again. And while the app does strongly recommend you back up your files before it completes the upgrade "in case something goes wrong," the ability to restore from that backup is conveniently only available in the paid version. Even if you're a new user, avoid this version. It's extreme crippleware (now allowing only three sounds) while being ad-supported. Say what?
