Missed My Chance, It Seems
I wrote an "Ambiance" of my own for the Mac several times, releasing three different versions, starting back during the 68k era. I have to admit, this version shows much more polish and extensibilty than anything I made turned out to be. A couple of the sound collections appear to even support effect randomization, which is rare in most apps of this nature. I only regret underestimating the demand for an app like this on the iPhone without it's current background processing support.

CRASH CRASH BOOM
This app has a few ( like one or two) good sounds on it. The rest sound like awful noise. I got this app because I wanted to listen to the sounds of the beach while I was at home. I also love the sounds of the beach. The beach sounds on this remind me of what it would sound like if I dropped my blow drier on my head. Ouch. Ya the sounds give you headaches. Also, if you actually want me to buy this app, add a sound of people hitting tennis balls (without the grunts please!). Finally, you say this app is supposed to help you work in a crowded noisy room? It's like trying to work underneath the revving engine and grinding wheels of a monster truck. I have nothing more to say.

Boom, Crash
Crashes a lot, and requires registration Other than that, it's a neat little app.

Mr.
I downloaded this app and after listening to the 5 freebies, I wanted to listen to other samples. To do this I had to register, and somewhere in the registering process (exactly where I can't say) it all went to heck. Now the app does not recognize me and locks me out from reviewing or purchasing any other sounds. Too bad. I think a better business model would be to let the customer just listen to the sample sounds, and then buy. As it is now, because of some clunky registering process, I can't do either. When it comes to computers (and I mean anyyyythinnggg computer, make it simple at the beginning or I'm out of there)
