Like ms paint but overpriced!
I feel like Adobe just robbed me. For less than ten dollars I have apps that run circles around this program. Adobe Ideas is the most basic drawing/layers app imaginable. The new color picker tool is barely useful and the themes pallet is either broken or is stupidly unintuitive, especially considering there is no tutorial or help section. If you are looking for a watered down microsoft paint than this is the overpriced solution! If you actually want to use a professional quality design app you should look somewhere else.

Fantastic drawing app !!
First of all - this is a fantastic app for drawing. Good work Adobe - and nice touch with the layers! But after the update the zoomin and moving has become extremely slow. I'm using The New ipad (ipad3) and i used to use Ideas everyday but now its just too slow. Please do something, Adobe

TV out was better before
I'm a university professor and I've been using this app for my in-class white board using a projector since the iPad 1. I loved how it only showed the drawings and just showed the splash screen when I was choosing which drawing to show. Since the update, everything is now projected onto the screen including notifications I get about incoming email. That's quite embarrassing when teaching a class. I wish that the limited projection option would come back at least as an option in the settings. It looked much more professional before when the students weren't seeing me choose tools and getting to see my email notifications.

A great vector sketching app!
Don't let the bad reviews and comparisons to other drawing apps put you off. As far as I know this is the ONLY app that lets you finger paint with vectors. At first blush, it would seem that this is just another sketching app until you realize that what your sketching and erasing actually end up as vectors — this means that no matter how far you zoom in, your drawings stay sharp and smooth, and don't get pixelated as they do in just about every other sketching app. This fact alone makes Adobe Ideas a valuable addition to your iPad. It's ability to do layers and work with palettes is just icing on the cake. Don't pass this app up. I initially thought it was just another sketching app, but now it's on the front page of my iPad. I use it for sketching quick diagrams to illustrate stuff during a conversation, mocking up user interfaces, and general doodling. I have no doubt a skilled artist could use it to create natural-looking vector art.
