Good but…
I like this app ok but it could be improved. For instance multiple photo layers. Rotate of photos. I would like to have better drawing options as well. Although I have other apps for drawing. I would also like to use this app to layer photo elements to create a whole new picture. If I'm missing where I can load multiple photos please let me know. Multiple photos will garner a 4 star rating.

Adobe, I expected more...
Honestly, with my familiarity with Adobe's Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign programs...I really expected more of their apps. Then again, after that major flop from their three Photoshop apps, I don't know why I'm surprised. Inkpad has blown you away Adobe in that it's actually a powerful tool and not a toy. To compare... Inkpad has -handles -6400% zoom -a better GUI -better brush controls -line control infinite layers...for free I might add... Shame, shame on you Adobe for putting this demo out and pushing it as a complete product. I'm starting to think your place in the world of digital art is only a stroke of luck. AutoDesk has you beat in Photoshop functionality for iPad. Now a lone designer is beating you out in Illustrator functionality for iPad. Just because Apples devices don't play nice with Flash doesn't mean you can take advantage of customers who trust your brand name and end up with half-baked apps. It's the last Adobe app or program I'll get.

Buy a layer for every drawing? I'm angry for not reading more reviews
I can't believe that I must pay .99$ for adding a layer to each drawing! That's like a troll under the bridge lurking for unknowingly dufus consumers. So in reality us consumers end up paying for a corrupted program which says pay me Sucker......I own CS5 premium. Yeah it's expensive but at least I knew what I was buying up front. This app is highway robbery. Apple, you f'd up on letting this on you shelves. Read the reviews potential buyers.

Starkly lacking in features
Frankly, this app is worth $1-2. The lack of basic functionality like geometric shapes, a fill bucket or any form of selection tool make this app only maringally more functional than a box of colored pencils and a pad of paper. If that's the level of functionality you're after, more power to ya. For those that are accustomed to desktop graphics applications, the absence of these basic tools will leave the app feeling crippled. I purchased this app expecting useful, high quality software from a company well known for its graphic arts applications, only to find I had wasted $6. Adobe throws salt on the wound by demanding an additional $1 to enable the app's only semi-advanced feature: layers. If you're looking for anything more than a digital pencil and paper, don't waste your money here. Sketchbook Pro is cheaper and provides all of the functionality of Ideas plus much, much more.
