Good for free but...
I have found 5 ways to carry my songbook (with chords) on my iphone: MySongbook, Songbook Chordpro, TabsChords, Achording, and directly connecting through Safari to my Chordie.com account/songbook. Achording has the best search but the output is not really formatted - so I don't love it (I give them credit for being free - but I am willing to pay a couple of dollars for a better product). Going to Chordie.com is great, but you can't scroll and you need an internet connection - so I usually don't use it. TabsChords searches well but I don't love the display. My Songbook and Songbook Chordpro are the two best. Songbook Chordpro has the best display and options for change, but it is a pain to search for songs and almost impossible to get songs into the program easily using itunes (don't believe their description - it is very difficult). MySongbook is my favorite right now - it has a good search process, autoscrolls nicely and the display is OK but not great (not configurable like Songbook Chordpro). If Songbook Chordpro gets a better search process, or if MySongbook gets playlists and configurable text/display, they will become the clear "BEST" songbook app.

I downloaded Achording for iPhone and thought it was great. People, this is a free app with no ads. The developers don't appear to be making any money from it, so naturally they can't pay the big tab sites for their content. Think about this before posting your tantrums. The autoscroll, favoriting, and autoresize abilities are the best features of the app. My suggestions for future versions would be: 1) think about a name/icon change. I searched for 'guitar tabs' and although Achording was one of the first free apps in the result list, I wasn't sure if it was a chord-only tab app (I was looking for solo tabs) or even a tab app at all. 2) On first run, point out the autoscroll slider. It's a great feature that might not be visible enough. It's in the app description, but I'll bet most users don't read past the first sentence of the description, especially with free apps.

Crashes every five seconds! Failure! Hate it absolutely! Terrible! If you dont keep tapping it will exit!! As an aspiring guitarist learning from famous teachers, i downloaded this, thinking its cheaper than $2.99 and slightly worse possibly. I was wrong...It was WAY worse, not slightly, WAY.. Thank god it was free. As soon i downloaded it i DELETED it. Ultimate Guitar tabs for two ninety nine Been on website many times and enjoyed it! I will download it and see. Hopefully better!!! ONCE AGAIN TOO ALL WHO READ THIS IT IS A FAILURE APP IF PRICE INCREASES FROM FREE, DO NOT DOWNLOAD. REPEAT: DO NOT DOWNLOAD! terrible Does not deserve even one star!

What happened!
Went from 4 tab sites to only the 2 worst! I can't find anything now. Most of the pages are blank or Spanish songs. I would have given 5 stars if they had added sites instead of removing them. I like the features and usability but without decent sites to pull from it is useless. Bring them back and you will get 5 stars from me.

Awesome but...
This app should offer the option of looking up chords or better yet have the chords on the songs highlighted so when you tap on it, it'll show you the chord. Sorry, that may have been confusing. Just let us search chords at least.
