Very good, needs a few adjustments
I think this is a great racer, it has its own vibe. I'm not having problems with controls like some reviewers are mentioning; the hand brake swipe is crucial in cornering. I do think the menus feel sluggish, and buttons are unresponsive. A click sound for the buttons would be appreciated. Also, no menu music.. All that said, there is great variety here, lots of challenge, good physics, and very nice graphics!

2K Drive vs other racing games
2k has made a great combination that tie together many of the other games. While the game does crash on occasion, I feel it is a great option to other games. 2K vs Real Racing 3 - Real Racing 3 had a great game until they made an update that required low winning and outrageously priced cars. 2K Drive does require you to have a certain number of 'stars' to repair vehicles, however the more you drive, the more stars you get. In order to buy other cars and upgrades you need 'coins'. These are also easy to gain over time. And are also given to you the more you play. In essence you get stars and coins based on how much you drive in 2K Drive, where you get coins in Real Racing 3 for how much you win. In both options you can purchase more if you choose. As for racing, Real Racing 3 is a bit more realistic, but 2K drive has a better verity of tracks. 2K Drive does offer a VIP purchase of cars (this is optional), but for the number of cars received, was much more affordable than how much one would have to spend in real racing 3. 2K Drive vs Asphalt 8 - Asphalt 8 offers more speed and the driving is looser. Really geared more toward an arcade game than a driving simulator. Both are fun, and both cost to purchase. In addition you can purchase coins as well. If you have reached that point in which progressing in Real Racing 3 is too expensive, then 2K Driving offers a good alternative. It has some bugs to work out, but is well worth the purchase.

Wanted This To Be Better
I had high hopes but this game is just too flashy and gimmicky. Avoiding a chopper lock on? Stupid. I want to race! Having to sit through the very lengthy cut scenes every other race is a bit annoying as well. RR3 is a rip off but the gameplay is vastly superior.

Such a Disappointment
Along with many others, I was hoping for a racing SIM on par with RR3 (only with better economics), but 2K Drive just falls short in so many ways. The driving physics are all wrong, the UI is confusing, and some of the events have nothing to do with racing (run from an attack helicopter?... use your car to bounce a ball into a goal?... C'mon!) So for all of you posting negative reviews, please also go to the customer service link (on profile page in the app), and let the developer know (in detail) what they need to fix and/or change. Otherwise, the game won't get any better.
